Milwaukee Athletic Club Golf Suites Help Hone Golf Skills

Nick Dunham can still recall watching the 1997 Master’s when he was four with his grandfather. He told him to watch out for the winner Tiger Woods – he predicted that he’d be a legend. “Tiger and my grandfather are a huge reason why I play this game,” says Nick. “I consider him the number one athlete in the world.”

Born and raised in Syracuse, Nick can’t remember a time when golf wasn’t a major part of his life. Now as the director of golf instruction at the Milwaukee Athletic Club, he feels that he has landed his dream job.

He arrived in Milwaukee in 2021, by way of Hilton Head – a much more obvious spot for a golf pro. But he admits he hated the country club scene so he had been working with a youth development organization called First Tee - The Lowcountry when he met his wife Kassie. They were both ready to move to Wisconsin to be close to family and for a new career opportunities.

Nick quickly connected with Catalyst Golf Performance and now, he is helping MAC members fine-tune their golf game when they are not outside playing at one of the state’s many acclaimed courses.

The MAC’s golf suites aren’t just for serious golfers though. There are plenty of opportunities for learning and fun for the whole family. In Bay 1, there is a TrackMan interactive platform that captures motion and swing data to provide serious golfers with all the data they’d ever want or need. In Bay 2, there is a TruGolf multisports interactive platform that allows people to practice their golf swing or play other interactive games like soccer, baseball, dodgeball and more.

By booking time in the golf suite, MAC members have access to Nick’s expertise and all the latest equipment to test out from Callaway.  Nick offers three-month private lesson packages, group clinics, equipment fittings, player assessment, online lessons and youth development.

Another benefit of preparing at the MAC for the summer golf season – Nick will conduct an assessment to see how a player’s body moves and will work with the fitness team to provide specific work-out plans to get into shape for peak golf performance.

There is a MAC women’s group that meets the third Thursday of every month for Sip & Swing events. There are also clinics on the second Tuesday of every month to learn the ins and outs of using the TrackMan platform to its fullest. Register for these events in advance here.

If you do want to get out this summer, Nick can teach lessons at Missing Links in Mequon. Also, be sure to check out the MAC’s reciprocity benefits that allow members to play at many exclusive courses across the country (including 19 private courses in Wisconsin).

Book a Bay in the MAC Golf Suites for $25 an hour through the member app. The Golf Suites are also available to book for private parties.

Ready to elevate your golf game and join a community that shares your passion? MAC Members have access to state-of-the-art golf suites, expert instruction from Nick Dunham, and exclusive events and clinics. Whether you're a seasoned pro or just starting out, there's something for everyone at MAC.
